The room with the fireplace, which was the point of entry for the raccoons who have visited over time. Raccoon Number One came through between trip number one and two (and expired in the kitchen). Raccoon Number Two came through during the Spring of 2012, according to the neighbor, who observed him coming down the chimney several times. Suffice it to say, we have BLOCKED the fireplace far more substantially than you can see in this picture.
The day bed / sofa is now gone; the cushions had disintegrated over the years and the frame couldn't hold the weight of what was upon it without warping.
The old TV was, well, an old TV and could no longer receive over-the-air signals. The floor beneath it is fairly stained, as is the floor in the rest of this room, and will need refinishing.
The box was chewed by visitors number one and two. It is a cherry-wood furniture kit. Dad thought it might be an end table, but he isn't certain.
Another dresser. We all have things we cannot get rid of, even if we don't want it ourselves. I can not throw out this old shortwave radio, which I'm fairly certain no longer works. I remember using it to tune in a broadcast from Switzerland when I was in grade school.
The powder room is intact, though with the water shut off, we can't check any plumbing fixtures. There are a good number of wooden planks stacked against the wall, just out of sight.
